Why Women Need Other Women
According to Forbes, women drive 70—80% of all consumer purchasing decisions and their spending power is only set to increase as more of us enter or get back into the workplace. The general trend has seen a rise in virtual communities with women at their heart.
But while online platforms and communities have been developing for two decades, there’s hardly any shared knowledge on building communities for women.
One thing that is known, said Forbes, is that for women to join a community, they have to feel safe and heard.
That was top of mind when I started Powerful Steps and it still is today. I wanted to create and build a community of like-minded, high-vibration women who have not just dreams but a strategy to make them reality. Who are supported, held accountable and valued.
So I was blown away by fantastic feedback after our last Power of Connection lunch in Sydney. Jo Gaines, Stephenie Rodriguez and Carla Oates shared insights into how to lead from the heart and how simple mindset switches empower us to level up in new and exciting ways—and it all struck a chord with guests.
“I walked away feeling incredibly connected and made many new connections,” posted executive consultant and organisational coach Jo Bowles on LinkedIn.
“To have the privilege to connect with a room full of like-minded women who all have such inspirational stories to tell made my heart so full,” wrote Kirsty Ghahramani, director of retail APAC at Afterpay.

Every comment (and there were plenty more) reminded me that every person who goes through the Business Attraction Program has incredible shifts and opportunities that come to them because they commit to listening and leaning into the power of other people’s stories.
