In this episode of the Powerful Stories Podcast, I’m chatting with the inspirational Samantha Brett, TV journalist, best-selling author, CEO of Naked Sundays, and my amazing friend of two decades.
In the middle of a global pandemic, Samantha created and launched her own brand of award winning sunscreen called Naked Sundays.
Her product had such high demand that she brought the launch forward, sold out completely and now it’s a million-dollar business.
That takes a certain kind of drive and tenacity!
In this episode we talk about the challenges of start-ups, taking a leap of faith, and the pivotal decision Samantha made in taking extended leave from her full time job to focus on her business.
We explore Samantha’s early career as an intern at Fox News in New York. She applied before she even started university! Samantha’s faith in herself and incredible persistence has paid off again and again throughout her journey. She has continued to chase dreams and make things happen through sheer perseverance and a strong belief in herself.
Samantha has always felt confident in her ideas and we talk about the launch of ‘The Gamechangers’ coffee table book where she interviewed successful and inspirational women about their stories. The success of this book was phenomenal and included an exclusive interview with Meghan Markle which turned out to be the last before she joined the Royal Family.
